Unique Computer Systems, has launched a simple middleware solution to provide quick and easy short messaging solutions to small and medium sized businesses. The solution, Reson8, is a complete SMS engine which manages the core task of channel connectivity and message broadcast. The connectivity options available include direct to GSM modem, HTTP based connectivity and SMPP 3.4 based connectivity to SMSC.

The Reson8 Engine is an out-of-the-box solution based on open standards. It is designed to deliver high capacity, secure and reliable messaging, and can process more than 100 mobile messages per second.

The Reson8 engine also offers a simple API (Java/VB), hiding all the protocol complexities from the application developer and so allow the developer to focus on the application's service. This significantly reduces the development time-frame, maintenance overhead and cost.
